This past week I began feeling VERY sick. Which is sort of a problem, because this morning I was going to talk about what the Bible has to say about health. I can only imagine the high level of inspiration I would have evoked as I talked about experiencing a revolution in health while hacking up a lung...
So, I called my favorite Brit, Nicholas, and asked if God had anything on his heart that he would like to share. After praying for an hour, he called back and said he would do it. So today I simply went to church and Nicholas taught a message called "Rebel With a Cause."
In it he encouraged everyone to rebel against the world systems and rebel against religion systems (I couldn't get the song "Anarchy in the U.K." out of my head). He did a great job. One of the highlight for me was when he described his personal experience hanging on to his faith while working in the field of science.
Thanks again Nicholas...and great job!

As a researcher in neuroscience, I find myself feeling like I am "hanging onto my faith" in a world of scientists nearly every day. Am encouraged and interested to learn that there are Christians who also happen to be scientists out there like myself. Will check out Nicholas' message...
