I read Watermark by my good friend Bob Franquiz yesterday in preparation for a message I'm doing on baptism. When I first saw it I couldn't help but notice how small it is, but this turned out to be part of the beauty of it!
As he says in the intro, "It's a crash course in the basics for those who are wondering about what baptism is." As such, Watermark is clear, well-presented, and easy to read without a lot of extra fluff. Also the FAQS is a great resource guide for answering tough questions about infant baptism, baptism for salvation, etc. I think Watermark would be perfect for:
- church members who wish to be baptized
- new believers
- seasoned believers who want to brush up on baptism
- pastors who want to steal content for messages and not give due credit (like me)
By the way, if you buy them for giveaways you can contact Bob for special case prices. Please tell him I sent you and maybe he'll buy me a cafe con leche.
